safe provo

we have safer beaches now  – how cool is our police in providenciales?

provo is quite a safe island, we feel very safe living here – leaving the car doors unlocked and the windows open almost everywhere we go. our friends even park their cars leaving the keys inside! how far can a stolen car go in the island?

personally i find it very relaxing to go to the beach and leave our belongings behind whilst we’re in the water – in many other beaches around the world this would not be possible.

this doesn’t mean that we don’t have to be careful though, like everywhere else.

happy weekend

my mum and sister have left, and the house feels somewhat empty, but the time they spend here was amazing. i have to confess i was a little scared that they would get bored and two weeks could be too long for provo. we ended having things to do every day and still a few that we didn’t manage to fit in.

remember this post? we went to more than 10 different beaches – blue hills, blue mountain, smith’s reef, the bight, coral gardens, grace bay, pelican, emerald point, long bay, turtle tail, sapodilla, and parrot cay!

i have some serious-relaxing-at-the-beach planned for this weekend – and tonight i am going to see men are from turks, women are from caicos, if you’re in provo, be sure not to miss it.

undersea explorer

every time we have friends and family coming over to visit, we really make an effort to think out of the box and live like a tourist during their stay.

my friend sally recommended we try the undersea explorer – since my mum and i weren’t going diving, this was the perfect plan to get to see a little more of the undersea life.

the undersea explorer is a small semi submarine, it took us on a tour, of just over 45 minutes,  and we saw all kinds of fish, schools, beautiful corals and turtles too. yes, i finally got to see them, loads of turtles!

to book the undersea explorer call 649 231 0006, it costs $55 adult / $40 child and it leaves from the turtle cove marina. if you have kids, you have to try it out!

guest post ~ natasha & adriano

natasha and adriano live in new york and they came over to turks and caicos for a long weekend. it was great having them, showing them around and going out for drinks and dinner!

what do you think makes turks and caicos (providenciales) so special?

By far the best beach with a perfect white sand and crystal clear, turquoise sea. I know this answer is a cliche but it truly is a definition of this beautiful island.

what were your favorite things to do whilst on island?

While staying in Provo i just wanted to relax and enjoy by the beach. A boat trip for conch fishing  and a visit to Iguana island is a fun thing to do, as well is a lunch at the Conch Shack. Also a visit to Amanyara for a sunset was one of my favorites.

would you recommend to a friend?

Definitely YESSS!
