2013-05-13-turks-and-caicos-3 I am starting to really enjoy taking pics with my new wide and macro lens along with the new compact INON flash. I am still playing with the set ups as there are so many variations!

This past sunday, we went to Northwest point where I love to dive as the walls there by Amanyara Resort are just incredibly amazing to look at.

Then there are the sea life including a very cool star fish stuck on a blueish/violet fan. Well, enjoy.

turks and caicos beaches // the bight

2013-04-21-turks-and-caicos-7yesterday james was eager to take a few pictures with his new dome lens (it allows taking pictures with the lens half under water and over water) so we made a quick stop at the bight.

2013-04-21-turks-and-caicos-6the sun was really hot, and bright, reflecting on the white sand, i could almost not see the screen on the my camera!

we were talking about how lucky we are in turks and caicos, that we get 1 spare hour and we can actually make a pit stop at the beach, go for a quick dive and relax for a while in between plans.

2013-04-21-turks-and-caicos-4although we have warm weather all year round, we actually start feeling more summery – definitely hotter, the sea water is warmer and some say more humid too.

his dive story / 45

2013-04-03-his-dive-story-iIt’s been a while since I did a post on our favorite Caribbean reef sharks but I felt compelled to do one after this past Sunday’s dive at West Caicos. We were at the Gully and immediately after I descended (first one to splash), there were 4 sharks swimming around me.

It was very thrilling even though I tend to take these predators for granted as we see them quite often in most of our dives around the TCI but for some reason today, it felt different….They appear to be bigger than the usual ones I normally see!! Help!  LOL!

2013-04-03-his-dive-story-11They were still curious and swam by us a few times. There was one that came straight at me to test me but I held my ground at the last minute and it just turned to the side. Whew! Enjoy the vids and pics.

turks and caicos bucket list

james and i are excited and sad about the news – i knew that the day would come, when we would have to move…and some told me it would happen when i felt the happiest on island – and how right they were. we have a lot to do before we leave and hope to make the best out our last days in provo.

so, i made a short bucket list of things i have been postponing since day one, and want to fit in before we leave –

* go parasailing, and face the fear of heights

* eat out at coco bistro, trip advisor’s number one restaurant in provo

* dive with james, and hope i don’t get to see any sharks

* cross the ferry, and go cycling with friends through north and middle caicos

* explore the one spot on island i haven’t been to, the remote beach in west harbor

* visit our capital city, cockburn town, in the island of grand turk

* go to salt cay, for humpback whale watching

* take james on an helicopter tour of the islands

* and the hardest one…get my father to come visit!

so, provo friends, what are the things you still want to do whilst on island – spill the beans!

picture of grace bay beach, news for april fools day (but seriously, this is all on my bucket list).
