hey friends, i hope you had a lovely weekend.

i have officially started the countdown for my vacation in portugal. and since i’m leaving in less than three weeks, all of a sudden i feel the urge to have long walks on the beach, do a lot of exercise and get a long lasting sun tan!

on the weekend, we watched the documentary jiro dreams of sushi – have you seen it? i love watching documentaries (and sushi!!). this one is about jiro ono, considered to be the world’s best sushi chef. it is beautifully done and gives you huge sushi cravings!

i found these great prints through chelsea‘s pinterest – what a great way to keep your beach collections!

jennifer, from quercus design, collects these goods on her walks, photographs them, and sells the prints on etsy too.

i also like her shark tooth heart and sea urchin prints – how simple and pretty are they!

i’m a huge fan of portuguese brand jose gourmet – not only their branding is amazingly cool, but their products are delicious too.

canned sea food in olive oil is a big thing in portugal. the last time i went back home, i went to sol e pesca, a bar where you can have a glass of green wine with your choice of can and a basket of bread – the perfect appetizer before dinner!

my favorite were jose gourmet’s ventrusca tuna fish and the trout fillets in escabeche – lucky me, i brought a few over last time i came from lisbon.

i always have this beach bag ready for a last minute beach initiative. it’s hanging on my room and this is what i bring with me, if you would like to see. i just add the sunscreens, fill in the bottle, mobile, camera, and i’m on the go!
