more diving pics

i would love to share some pictures james took of a beautiful ray whilst diving.

…to think that one of my favourite dishes is ray with capers – although we have yet not found a restaurant that serves ray in provo.

we oftenly see rays swimming very close to shore, and although i prefer not to be too close to them, i find it funny that whenever there are locals in the water and they see one, they will quickly starts shouting fish, fish in the water and everyone will get out until the ray is gone.

happy friday & feeling grateful

the bight

it’s been one of those weeks…when monday started we had to get prepared for hurricane irene without really knowing what to expect. tuesday and wednesday were scary days, thursday was clean up day and today i am so grateful that everyone is safe in provo.

we are also getting ready for our first guests at home and looking forward to a great weekend ahead!

açores

my parents just got back from their holidays in açores and i got a little jealous of their trip…açores are such beautiful islands, with so much to explore, amazing landscapes, but yet not very touristic. the first time i went i was 18 and i remember thinking – so, this is what paradise looks like!

found this cute picture of a caretta caretta turtle surrounded by pilot fish taken in açores – doesn’t it look like a pixar character?

caretta caretta turtles, or loggerhead sea turtles, are the same ones we find here in turks and caicos!
