Hi, my name is Shoko. I write a blog called sho & tell, and I’m very happy to be making an appearance on My Sea Story this week. Thanks so much for having me, Joana!
As I wrote this blog post Saturday night, snow was falling in New York City. A freak October snowstorm, needless to say, is a bit of a peculiar backdrop for writing a post about sun and surf, and it got me thinking – since not all of Joana’s readers are lucky enough to live in the tropics, what are some ways those of us who are in for a long, cold winter can add a little bit of summer to the days ahead?
Here, a few cheerful pops of sunshine to help make life happy when skies are gray.
Clockwise from top left: Hello Sunshine mug from OhLeander Shop, $25; Rise pillow from CB2, $24.95; Cece suede ballet flats from J. Crew, $128; Warm olive cashmere and silk scarf by Chan Luu, $195; “Endless Summer” by the Beach Boys, $24.99; Deborah Lippmann nail lacquer in “Yellow Brick Road,” $16; Yellow pleated skirt from Romwe, $44.99; “Here Comes the Sun” print from MursBlanc, $25.
Lovely, really needed that burst of sunshine! Great post Shoko, and Joana! :)
here in portugal, lisbon it is still autumn, but it is getting colder. thanks Shoko for the sun (shine)!
