october-instagram-by-myseastory

october was the month of change, and restart. a move, a trip to new york, house and car hunting and finding our own routines. oh, and halloween in the city. it’s been fun but i can’t wait to settle down for good, have our own home. new orleans has been good to us so far, and i’m so grateful for that.

i apologize for missing in action, i love my blog, but sometimes i need to disconnect, to find my way. hoping to be back to blogging more consistently pretty soon. thanks for the love ♡

julia-4052julia at 21 months – i love this picture of julia, maybe because she’s happily posing for me, and i think is because she now knows new orleans is our new home. she had a difficult beginning in our new city, a lot of tantrums, nightmares and tears..but all of a sudden she’s back to herself, to being naughty and funny, and she’s been a great buddy! ♡

(we found this mural in downtown new orleans by street artist kelsey montague and immediatly felt our moods lifted :)

julia-3952julia at 20 months – she literally copies everything i do, these days – from drinking my coffee to polishing my nails, but the latest achievement is taking pictures with my phone, maybe next she’ll be instagramming! ♡

julia-3852julia at 20 months –   our first week in new orleans, i can only imagine what goes through her mind when i try to explain that we moved here, or when we’re at the grocery store and i say ‘let’s go home” and this is not the home she knows. to make things a little harder…we went on an ‘iPad cleanse’, it was just too easy to entertain her with the ipad when i needed to pack and get organized for the move. now we’re on a sticker-playdoh-painting-reading-strolling repeat mode.

some days have been really good, exciting and fun. but some days have been hard too. i’ve been trying to be extra-patient and understanding with her, and giving her lot’s of cuddles ♡
