more diving pics

i would love to share some pictures james took of a beautiful ray whilst diving.

…to think that one of my favourite dishes is ray with capers – although we have yet not found a restaurant that serves ray in provo.

we oftenly see rays swimming very close to shore, and although i prefer not to be too close to them, i find it funny that whenever there are locals in the water and they see one, they will quickly starts shouting fish, fish in the water and everyone will get out until the ray is gone.

happy week

i hope you had a fantastic weekend. mine involved lots of organizing, as we will be having our first visitors at home by the end of the week – so we had to make sure that there were no more unpacked boxes around.

we had an amazing day at the beach, and of course, an awesome diving day out for james, and this time with great company!

every time james comes from diving i can’t wait to see his pictures to post – i am loving these ones!

diving with turtles

i find sea turtles one of the most friendly looking sea creatures. james gets to see them all the time whenever he goes diving – i still hope i get to swim near one soon!

unfortunately turtles are an endangered species… mainly due to turtle fishing and oil spills from cargo ships (!!).

they really are surprising creatures – suzie, an adult green turtle, and the first to be tagged by the turks and caicos islands turtle project, undertook an incredible 6,000 kms round trip in 2009 and 2010 – read more about her story here.

and other awesome diving picture here!

diving in provo

i have previously posted some of james’ diving pictures, but he keeps on bringing home the most beautiful images of the under water world – so i thought i would share a series of posts from his diving outings here in provo.

watch out for more amazing diving pictures soon!
