on instagram lately / 09

august-instagram-by-myseastoryoops, i’ve been totally slacking on these instagram lately posts, too bad because i actually really enjoy posting these, and looking back at the past month.

august was hectic, and fun. the first couple of weeks we were in lisbon, had a lot of family time but some great mom-daughter time too, which i really missed. then we flew back to provo with my mum, with the usual pitch stop in miami, and got to enjoy her for a few days here on island.

this is a very tricky time of the year in provo, most families come back from vacation and are getting ready to go back to school this week. at the same time, most restaurants and stores close for the month of september, if not longer, so the island becomes very quiet.

pillow talk

pillow-talk-1my mum (who’s work i’ve already shared on the blog) is now making these stylish and colorful pillows available for sale. there are 7 different designs of her favorite watercolors – hydrangeas and dalias from the north of portugal, tulips from amsterdam, hydrangeas from the azores, almond trees from the douro valley.

every time she travels, she takes pictures of the most beautiful flowers and paints them in watercolor. then she had a few stamped to use on my baby sister’s wedding day in a lounge area at the venue. it was a huge hit!

these are a selection of her favorite flower watercolors if you would like to see – Continue reading

may-instagram-by-myseastorymay was a super busy month, considering we live in an uber relaxing island! we went to miami with my mum, who stayed with us in provo for a few more days for some grandma time. we went to parrot cay (and i can never get tired of that place), and finally made it to grand turk! i also started my countdown to our trip to portugal, working on eating healthier and going for walks on the beach, i created the hashtag #gracebaybeachwalks to keep me going!

myseastory turns 4!

myseastory-turns-4it’s been 4 years today since i first started blogging – it’s been interesting to share my last years on the blog, with highs and lows, with more or less inspirations, before and after attending blogshop, and pre and post pregnancy. through the blog, i’ve met amazing bloggers and (hope) to have helped many people who write to me asking for tips and recommendations on turks and caicos.

the purpose of the blog was initially to create a place to find a more personal view on life in turks and caicos, wether you’d want to move here or spend your vacation. then i decided to share our traveling adventures too. but most of all, i really, really enjoy having a visual diary of my experiences on island, now being julia a big part of it.

thank you, to all myseastory readers, friends and family, for following along ♡

and these are the most read posts so far, if you would like to see –
