julia at 16 months – she says mamamama and papapapa and pepepe, initially for birds, now for most animals. once i think she might’ve said something that sounded like pacifier in portuguese, but her official first word is agua (water in portuguese), she says it all the time, it makes sense ♡

a couple of weeks ago, we flew to miami for a weekend with my mum. i was so looking forward to it. but to be honest, it was harder than i expected. julia was very clingy, and i felt like i didn’t have a break – it was way harder to be away from our routine at home. but she was not herself and something was definitely bothering her, either it was because we were not in our environment, or because we were a family of 4 instead of 3 or because she had no idea if we were coming back to her home.

julia at 15 months – at the sea shore, running away from her shadow, it was hilarious to see her reaction – running and stopping to make sure the shadow wasn’t stopping too, and i feel so lucky to witness her little adventures ♡
