one month to go

those of you who know me well, know i have a fling for south america, and i’m always dreaming of traveling through this continent – the culture, the people, the food, i love it all.

today i start my countdown for our next vacation – next stop peru!

don’t you love the days before a trip, when you have so much to look forward to, you are already traveling whilst planning where to go.

any tips on peru? would love to hear them!

guinep

a couple of weeks ago, when we went to chinson‘s for take away, there was a kid selling guineps – i had no idea what it was. i always get so curious for new and local flavours, so we bought a bag.

it tastes deliciously like a lychee, but with a more citric flavour – yummm!

guinep, spanish lime or mamoncillo!

i did have a hard time remembering the name, but finally did some research on it, this is what i found out.

xtream dream

yesterday, american swimmer diana nyad, at age 61, started her xtream dream – attempting the world record 168km (103 mile) swim from cuba to florida, without a shark cage. she had previously tried this swim at age 28, in 1978.

thumbs up, diana, we might see you passing by turks & caicos on your way to florida…!
