a great spot in cambridge

when in london last week, rita and i took the train and spent the day in cambridge – it was the perfect day out, 1 hour away and we were in the country side, visiting friends, surrounded by nature and beautiful colleges that easily encourage studying and remind you of harry potter.

before heading back to london we had the best tea and scones..with clotted dream! we loved this spot, bill’s, it made us want to hang out for hours chatting, eating and drinking.

it was like a mini vacation during our vacation…don’t you love daytrips?

i still have a few things to share from our short trip to london – and a guest post about it coming soon!

a few things {new york}

i know, i know, i’ve been a terrible blogger…but i haven’t stopped lately, and it’s been real good to have a break from the computer, the internet and the so on.

anyway, i’m back! i’m in lisbon, but before i tell u about my stay i wanted to share a few pictures from my trip to new york last week. it was a quick stop, but still managed to get a few things done.

i shopped and loved all the christmas decorations – my jaws dropped with some of the window shops – have you seen bergdorf goodman’s? (sorry, no good picture on those, this one is from american eagle outfitter‘s)

i stocked up on nail varnish and a few other things i miss in turks and caicos.

as i craved burgers and pizza, stopped by pulino’s and bare burger – see my sticky fingers?

london calling

in love with this london neighbourhood prints i found on sweet view via pillar box

i’m in london for the weekend, just poped in to say a quick hello. its pretty cold here but the sun is out, and so nice to be spending some quality time with my crazy cousin rita! i’m hoping to do some sightseeing before heading back to lisbon on monday.

happy weekend – i can’t wait to share a few pictures when I return home!

hello echo

i’m in new york for a couple of days before flying back to europe… i can’t wait to see all the christmas decorations, do a little shopping and catch up with family and friends. it’s weird to switch from shorts, flip flops and bikini to boots, sweater and scarf – but  a month without mosquitoes sounds pretty good!

i took this picture in madison square park last time i was in new york, the serene looking statue by spanish artist jaume plensa. it’s kind of magical, you can’t stop but be attracted to it – and it looks like it’s not really there. hve you seen it?

the power of food

i would love to share this little video about mistura that i found through the world’s 50 best restaurants.

mistura is the food fair we went to whilst in peru, taking place every september and organised by gaston acurio, it has the participation of peru’s most famous chefs and street food chefs.

the video features some of the delicious foodie spots we tried. i like the comparison they make – hollywood has their actors, whilst peru has their food and mistura is their oscars.
