flooding

it was raining almost all weekend. yes, it rains in the caribbean…it’s not that bad, as it doesn’t happen often, and we don’t get to use umbrellas, raincoats or even wellies!it did get quite flooded and hard to drive on some roads!

when it was over, J and I took a walk by the beach, and it felt so good to breath fresh air,  listen to the waves and walk on the sand barefoot!

happy national heroes day, it’s a holiday for us today in turks & caicos!

movin’

enough of SoCal and back to the reality of T&C. I’ve been a busy bee searching for a temp place to stay. unfortunately, after three amazing months at the mansions (…i can’t believe it’s been so long!), and because the furniture of our house is not here yet, we had to look for somewhere else to stay during the next month.

staying at the mansions couldn’t have been better, right on the beach, with so much light and so close to all the restaurants and hotels in grace bay beach.

we will miss our days in our first home in T&C…

what was the most recent book you read?

Shantaram,  by Gregory David Roberts, is the longest book I’ve ever read at 936 pages and I loved every single page of it.

it’s a true story about how the author escaped from an Australian prison and fled to Bombay. his life there in the slums, with the underworld, at war in Afghanistan and even in Bollywood is exciting and fascinating!
