julia-0152b2 years old this week ♡ and a terrible birthday spent flying and stuck in newark airport due to the storm – luckily she is (almost) always a happy bee and there were lots of giggles playing with the snow. we did have a mini celebration with the family before leaving lisbon and a very warm welcome from dad arriving to new orleans.

julia-5252julia at 23 months –  waiting patiently whilst she tries to unlock the door – it really makes her happy, and i’m assuming, helps her grow too. but finding the right balance of patience and assertiveness is one of the struggles i have as a parent. but then, with giggles, cuddles, and funny dances, everything pays off ♡

last post before julia turns 2!! many people have asked if i was going to continue with this series – yes, i know it’s very ‘baby oriented’ and personal at the same time, but it’s become one of the most fun sides of blogging for me :) so, yes, i will be back for julia’s weekly pic during her 3rd year, and hopefully you’ll enjoy these little snippets into our lives too.

julia-5052julia at 23 months –  after the holidays everyone goes back to their routines, so we’ve been taking advantage and going on more mummy-daughter dates – playgrounds are still a favorite over here (and luckily there are plenty of fun ones in lisbon), but dying to have a sunny day for a little winter beach adventure ♡

julia-4952julia at 23 months –  argh! where does the time go…what do you mean she’s almost 2?!?! needless to say christmas was fun and has a whole new meaning, and entertaining, with julia around. i love that she is old enough to enjoy the expectation of opening gifts, but is still zero demanding, and grateful with anything she was gifted ♡
